FAQs

Can I try a cue before I buy?

Yes, all of our snooker and pool cues are available to try out in store on one of our two tables. If you’d like to guarantee a member of staff is available to help you, get in touch to book an appointment.

How do I choose the right cue length?

Most adult cues will be between 57-59 inches. This will suit most adult players. If you’re smaller, buying for a junior or have a more compact games room, we have shorter cues available.

What difference does cue weight make?

The weight of your cue effects your power and control. Heavier cues allow for more power, while lighter cues allow for more accuracy. We have over 350 different types of snooker and pool cues available in store and online, so we’re sure to have something that works for you.

Do I need a one-piece or two-piece cue?

This depends on where you do your playing. If you’re playing at home or at your local club, a one-piece cue will work a treat. If you travel to play, a two-piece cue is far easier to store and transport.

What is the difference between snooker cues and pool cues?

Pool and snooker cues differ in several ways. The key differences are in tip size, weight, stiffness and ferule. Snooker cues are made for more precision, making them lighter with smaller tips, a stiffer shaft and sturdier ferrule made of typically brass of steel. Pool cues are built more for power so are heavier, have larger tips and a plastic ferule.

How much should I spend on a snooker or pool cue?

This depends completely on a few factors. If the cue is just for casual play at home you may not want to break the bank, if you’re a competitive player you may want the very best which costs more. The main thing is finding the cue with the right feel for you. If you get in touch with us, we can advise you on what we have on offer and make it work within a budget you are comfortable with.
